Like many Australians, Sarah-Jane Picton-King followed the traditional path into property investing — buying locally, building a portfolio, and working toward long-term capital growth.

She started young, purchasing her first property at just 18 and continuing to grow her portfolio across Australia. On paper, everything looked strong.

But when she sat down with a financial coach and reviewed the numbers, a confronting reality emerged.
